Witnesses saw around a quarter past two in the night from Thursday 17 to Friday 18 July how two men with a firearm-like object walked towards a house. Shortly after, an explosion was heard. Shortly thereafter, a fire was discovered. What exactly caused the fire is part of the investigation that the detectives have started. The fire causes significant smoke development. Several residents of different homes cannot go outside because of this. Two people must go to the hospital due to smoke inhalation.
The explosion also creates a gas leak. Emergency services are being scaled up. Dozens of residents must be evacuated from their homes. Residents of at least 11 homes cannot return home yet.
The police are looking for at least two suspects. Both men are dark-skinned, wearing dark clothing, and one of them is wearing distinctive blue latex gloves. The detectives would like to get in touch with anyone who has seen or heard anything. Do you have information? Or do you have camera footage from, for example, a dashcam or a video doorbell?
