Third Arrest for Violent Theft in Purmerend

On Sunday, June 29, the police arrested one suspect in connection with a violent theft on March 31, 2025, in Purmerend. This involves a 20-year-old man from Amsterdam. Last week, two other suspects were already arrested, a 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old woman, for involvement in the violent theft. The three suspects are suspected of attempting to violently steal a phone from a pawn shop.
The two suspects arrested last week were presented to the examining magistrate on June 24. The magistrate has placed both suspects in custody for fourteen days. The third suspect has been interrogated and released. However, he remains a suspect in the investigation.
