Arrest after Pursuit and Search of Residence on Mijnsherenlaan

On the evening of February 4th, a pursuit occurred that ended on De Brauwweg in Schiedam. The vehicle was boxed in, and the suspect fled briefly on foot. He was subsequently arrested on Nieuwpoortweg. This concerns a 24-year-old man from Rotterdam. Cartridges and casings were found in his car. Following this discovery, his residence in Rotterdam was searched. Items were found that may be used for drug trafficking. The involvement of the 24-year-old Rotterdammer is under investigation.
The Pursuit
The pursuit began on Groene Kruisweg. Officers wanted to check a vehicle and signaled the driver to stop. The driver ignored this signal and sped onto the A15 towards A4. The officers who wanted to carry out the check had to turn around to follow the vehicle, but it went out of sight. The pursuit resumed on the A20 after an ANPR hit. The driver again ignored the stop signal and sped towards Schiedam. Officers eventually boxed in the vehicle. The driver then fled on foot and was arrested on Nieuwpoortweg.
