A team from the Leiden-Voorschoten district arrested the three suspects on suspicion of bank helpdesk fraud throughout the Netherlands.

Many victims of bank helpdesk fraud do not report it out of shame or because they think it is pointless. However, reporting is important because it not only enables investigation but also helps prevent further victimization. Not always through investigation, but also because fraudulent bank accounts and websites can be blocked or taken down sooner.
