It is around 02:25 AM on the night of Friday, June 13 to Saturday, June 14, 2025, when things go wrong. A motorist and a pedestrian get into an argument in front of a hospitality establishment on Dr. Jan van Breemenstraat in Amsterdam. They start fighting, and the driver attempts to run the other person over. The motorist then flees the scene. The security guard from the nearby establishment is called out and comes outside. There he suddenly comes face to face with the motorist who has returned with a firearm and suddenly fires several times into the air. He then strikes the security guard on the head with the firearm, injuring him. The suspect flees the scene in a dark car. The security guard is then treated for his injuries by ambulance personnel and transported to a hospital. Officers are still searching the area but do not find the suspect. The detectives are urgently looking for him.
