Collision with Officers
On October 29 around 7 p.m., the control room received a report of a stolen vehicle driving in Geldrop. The car entered the A2 highway where officers intercepted it. The man is suspected of causing an accident afterwards, involving multiple (service) vehicles, including two motorcycle officers.
One of the motorcycle officers is still in the hospital. The other was discharged after a few days.

Suspect Arrested for Involvement in Collision with Officers on A2

The police arrested a 41-year-old man without a fixed residence in Turnhout (BE). He is suspected of involvement in the collision on the A2 near Eindhoven. The man was arrested by a Belgian arrest team around 5 p.m. on Elf Novemberlaan. Dutch detectives were also present during the operation. After his arrest, the suspects temporary residence was searched and some items were seized. The Dutch Public Prosecution Service has requested Belgian authorities to extradite the suspect.
