The police started an investigation after signals and (anonymous) reports came in that drugs were being sold from a hospitality establishment on Raadhuisstraat in Beilen. Customers who ordered food and had it delivered could also have drugs delivered. The drugs were reportedly hidden in the packaging.
Hard drugs found, two arrests
In recent times, the investigation team has repeatedly confirmed that it was indeed possible to order (hard) drugs along with food. Consequently, it was decided to search the hospitality establishment and a residence in Beilen. In the hospitality establishment, a trade quantity of hard drugs and packaging materials for packaging narcotics were found. These items have been seized for further investigation. Two men from Beilen, aged 24 and 26, have been arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. They are in custody and are being interrogated about their role.
