Arrest Investigation of Assault with Hot Liquid

On Thursday morning, the police arrested a 55-year-old man from Maastricht on suspicion of serious assault, committed on December 22, 2024, on Tiberiasstraat. The victim was doused with hot liquid and suffered first and second-degree burns.
After the assault, the suspect fled on a scooter. The police immediately launched an investigation and requested attention for the case through local and national investigative programs. This ultimately led to the arrest of the suspect.
The man is in custody and will be interrogated.
