Initial findings indicate that it involved a gas alarm pistol and not a firearm. An alarm pistol is hardly distinguishable from a real firearm. It does not fire projectiles but makes a very loud bang that sounds like a real shot. When fired, actual casings are ejected from the alarm pistol.
In addition to the present officers, specialist units were deployed, including members of the arrest team and a negotiator. Ultimately, the resident came outside voluntarily without the intervention of the arrest team, after which he was arrested. The suspect sustained minor injuries during the arrest. He was taken to the police station for further questioning.
The police are currently conducting further investigations into the background of the shooting incident. Witnesses are being interviewed, and camera footage is being reviewed. Further forensic investigations are being conducted in the house today.
