On June 18, two officers were conducting a check on Ruimtevaartbaan when one of them spotted a delivery van coming from the corner of his eye. The driver of this vehicle made a U-turn upon seeing the officers and their police car and drove away from them. Anyone who drives away upon seeing the police is asking for attention, and the officers immediately followed the vehicle.
At Monitorplein, the two occupants were stopped by the officers, and their vehicle was inspected. Upon approaching the two men, the officers were met with a strong smell of cannabis. Cannabis was indeed found in the car, but also nitrous oxide canisters, phones, and cash. Everything was seized, including the vehicle itself. The two suspects, a 15-year-old boy from IJsselstein and a 20-year-old man from the same place, were released after questioning.

A 21-year-old man from IJsselstein likely did not expect to be caught by an off-duty officer during a suspected drug deal in IJsselstein on June 20. The officer did not hesitate and immediately called his colleagues at the station. They also did not waste any time and went searching, locating the driver at Heemradenlaan. There, it turned out he did not have an ID or drivers license on him, but initially had some soft drugs.
The man suddenly ran away, but did not get far, and within seconds he was arrested. More soft drugs were later found on him, but that was not all. In his home, more (suspected) soft and hard drugs, a fake firearm, and cash were discovered. Everything was seized, and this suspect was also released after questioning.
