The report of the assault was received around 5:50 PM. The suspect had fled the scene on a motorcycle and then entered a residence on Curacaostraat. Upon arrival, the police instructed the man step-by-step to exit the house through a so-called de-escalation procedure. However, the suspect attempted to flee back into the house through the front door, but this failed. The police dog apprehended the suspect and bit him in the backside.

The police are conducting further investigations into the circumstances. The suspect was treated on-site by medical personnel and then taken to the police station, where he was presented and will be interrogated.
