The police received a report of a car theft on Thursday morning, August 7, around 03:00. The informants car had been taken from Hofvliet in Voorschoten. Thanks to this call, the officers were able to quickly locate the car thief. On Lijtweg in Leidschendam, they saw the stolen car with smashed windows driving and forced the driver to stop. The driver, a 26-year-old man from The Hague, was arrested and taken to the station. There it turned out that he still had to be heard in a criminal investigation and also had to serve a prison sentence of 83 days.
