On the night of January 26 to 27, officers from the National Expertise and Operations Unit (LX) spotted a rental car with foreign license plates driving on the A16 near Breda during their surveillance. The officers pulled the rental car over for a general check. During the technical inspection of the vehicle, the hood was opened. Under the hood, the alert officers noticed black tape in several unusual places. Upon closer inspection, they found multiple packages containing white powder in the cars front bumper.
The two occupants (a 32-year-old and a 33-year-old man from Colombia) were immediately arrested. The car was taken to the police station, where police found even more packages of white powder. In total, 25 bags of suspected narcotics were found. The LX detectives are conducting further investigation into the case.
