At around 11:30 PM, the police received a report of an explosion at the Liguster in Leidschendam. Upon arrival, there was damage to an exit of the Mall of the Netherlands shopping center. There were cracks in a window, as well as smoke damage. The description of a possible suspect is a man, fully dressed in dark clothing who possibly ran in the direction of Schout van Eijklaan and the Heuvel neighborhood after the explosion.

The investigation team is looking into the circumstances and would like to get in touch with any witnesses and owners of possible camera footage.
