The driver of the car, a 33-year-old resident of Zundert, was able to get out of the heavily damaged car on his own. Police officers arrived at the scene and ensured that an expert from the municipality came to assess the houses habitability. An ambulance was also called as a precaution.

Under the influence of alcohol and drugs
In the meantime, officers took photos of the damage to add to the file. A police officer administered a breathalyzer test to the driver. The test showed that the man was under the influence of alcohol. An indicative saliva test also indicated that the man had used cannabis. The 33-year-old man was arrested and taken to the police station.

It was revealed that he did not have a drivers license. A report is being drawn up against the man. He was released and will be questioned by the police at a later time.

There were no further issues with the houses structure; the insurance will handle everything. The car was towed away by a recovery company.
