Placement of Explosive

At around 9:34 PM, a report was received about a suspicious situation where multiple persons may have placed an object near a residence. On site, it was confirmed to be an explosive. The TEV secured the situation at the location, and for safety reasons approximately 10 homes were evacuated. There was no damage and no one was injured. The street has since been reopened and residents have returned to their homes.

Arrests

The police immediately started an investigation into the circumstances of the incident in the area. An extensive search in the vicinity led to two arrests. These involve a 40-year-old man from The Hague and a 23-year-old man from The Hague.

Connections

The police treat each incident as an individual case. Additionally, the police investigate, if there is reason, whether an incident is connected to other incidents. While the investigation is ongoing, no further information can be provided.
