On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, the residence was entered in the early morning. The reason was a legal assistance request from the German police colleagues. The resident, a man from Belgium, was wanted there and had to be arrested. However, the arrest team found more in the residence. They seized a firearm. There was also explosive powder in the house. The police evacuated the surrounding houses and cordoned off the area. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) took the explosive materials into custody and detonated them at another location in the municipality. By around 10:00 AM, the situation was safe again, and the investigation at the location could continue.

The suspect will be interviewed by the Dutch police and then extradited to the German colleagues.
