The Incident
On Friday, January 2nd, around 12:40 PM, the victim and his friends got off the train in Goes. Three boys walked ahead on Piet Heinstraat and asked the victim something. At the moment he responded, one of the suspects grabbed the phone and ran away. The victim (a minor boy from Oost-Souburg) and his friends immediately started a chase but lost sight of the suspect.
They quickly realized they could track the live location of the phone. At the same time, one of them called the police. They followed the location and eventually found the man who had taken the phone. The man threatened the boys, but after a brief confrontation, he returned the phone and fled again.
Arrest
The victim gave a description of the suspects to the police, including the direction the man fled. Officers immediately searched and shortly after found the three suspects matching the description. All three were arrested and will be questioned later. They are a 19-year-old from Assen, a 20-year-old from Middelburg, and a 19-year-old man from Spain.
