At around 4:30 PM, the police received a report of a robbery at a store on Nieuwstraat. Two individuals entered the store and threatened an employee with a firearm. A bystander raised the alarm.
Immediately after the report, police units arrived at the scene. Officers found a (fake) firearm but no suspects. The weapon was seized, and officers continued the search for the suspects that afternoon.
Suspect Arrested
Soon after the report, officers arrested a suspect on Fellenoordstraat for possible involvement in the robbery. This concerns a minor from Gouda.

The police are still looking for the second suspect. They are conducting investigations, speaking with witnesses, and reviewing camera footage.
