In Amsterdam South, plainclothes officers saw someone commit a crime around 5:30 PM. When they tried to arrest the suspect, he fled on foot. The officers pursued the suspect and used a taser.
After being hit, the suspect fell and was injured. Assistance was provided to the suspect, who was then transported to the hospital.
The suspect has since been discharged from the hospital and will be questioned later regarding the criminal offense.
The national police investigation department is currently investigating this case.
