The incident occurred around 4:30 PM. Police and fire services were called to report a fire in the backyard of the residence. When emergency services arrived, the fire had spread from a canopy to the house. The fire department escalated the response to a major fire.
Initial findings by the police revealed that shortly before the fire, an explosive was detonated approximately 20 to 25 meters from the residence. There are currently no indications that the action was targeted at the affected residence(s). Officers are investigating the cause, taking statements from residents and interviewing witnesses.
