Last week, the arrest team raided two homes in De Pijp and one in Amstelveen. In one of them, the officers found a backpack containing nearly 6 kilos of hashish and a large sum of cash. In another home, they found 80 kilos of cocaine, which has a street value of about 4 million euros. The drugs have been seized and will be destroyed.
After the discovery, the police arrested a 31-year-old man from Great Britain and another 31-year-old man from Amstelveen. After being presented to the examining magistrate, the Brit is currently still in custody, while the man from Amstelveen has been released pending his trial.
