At around 4 PM, officers wanted to check a motorist on Regenboogstraat in Tilburg. Upon seeing the officers, the man sped away in his black Audi A6. He drove against traffic and recklessly over the sidewalk.

So far, no injuries have been reported, but people had to dodge the car. A police helicopter was nearby and followed the vehicle through Tilburg. As a result, the officers decided not to pursue the car due to the high speed and dangerous maneuvers made by the man. In the vicinity of Hesperenzijstraat, the helicopter crew saw the man park the car and exit. Ground officers proceeded to that location. After a brief foot chase, the 25-year-old man from Woerden was apprehended. The car had false license plates, and the man was also wanted by the police in Germany.

The police are looking for individuals who were nearly hit by the motorist and are asking them to file a report with the police. The police are also seeking witnesses.
