The suspect was driving a rental car and exhibited dangerous driving behavior. Officers initiated the chase and kept the vehicle in sight at all times. The man drove, among other things, against traffic on the bike path at Ringbaan-Oost and reached speeds above 100 km/h.

Police Car Overturned
During the response to the report, an officer in an unmarked police car slipped and overturned the vehicle. The officer was taken to the hospital for observation.

Cornered
The chase ended when the suspect was cornered at the Lovense Kanaaldijk. He resisted arrest but was eventually pulled from the car and handcuffed.

Old Acquaintance
The Eindhoven resident was taken to the police station for further investigation. He was wanted for an outstanding prison sentence and had escaped from an institution.
