The fatbike rider was cycling with a friend around 7:45 PM on Soestdijksekade in The Hague. During an overtaking maneuver by a scooter, contact was made with the fatbike, causing the rider to be thrown through the air and fall hard. The rider was urgently taken to the hospital by ambulance.
Scooter Flees, Police Seek Witnesses
After the collision, the scooter fled the scene, leaving the injured fatbike rider with his friend, who was not hurt in the accident. The police are investigating this incident and are still looking for the scooter driver. Assistance from possible witnesses and owners of camera footage is welcome.
