40-year-old man from Ridderkerk arrested after warning shot
Gebied: Rotterdam
On the Beverwaardseweg in Rotterdam, a 40-year-old man from Ridderkerk was arrested by an arrest team (AT) on Thursday, June 5, around 9:15 PM. A warning shot was fired during the incident. Ultimately, he was apprehended thanks to a shot with a beanbag. The man is linked to an ongoing investigation.
The suspect was arrested earlier in the evening by the arrest team but fled in his car. After crashing, he continued on foot. To force him to stop, a warning shot was first fired, followed by a beanbag shot.
Because he sustained injuries to his head, the suspect was taken to the hospital. It is being investigated whether these injuries were caused by the crash or by the beanbag shot. The police are conducting further investigation.
