At around 07:00, a general traffic check on public transport started at Station Noord. Line buses and drivers were checked for alcohol, drugs, and proper documentation. The buses were inspected for the correct paperwork and their technical condition.
Bus Checks
A total of 86 buses were subjected to inspection. 23 city buses had to be removed from the road because the community permit was missing. One regional bus did not have it either but was allowed to continue after the permit was provided. No technical defects were observed in the vehicles.
Driver Checks
None of the checked drivers were under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Some did not have their paperwork in order. For instance, one driver could not show his drivers license, and several others could not provide their medical declaration.
