Explosives Safety Team and Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal on site

After an initial assessment of the discovered fireworks, the Explosives Reconnaissance Team, as a precaution for the safety of the surroundings, called in the Defence Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EODD). The EODD arrived on site. Hundreds of kilos of fireworks were found in multiple buildings on Emrikweg. Storing fireworks in a building also used as a hemp grow operation is extremely irresponsible. Given the circumstances and the large amount of explosive material, this incident could have had serious consequences for the environment and the safety of people.

Underground hemp grow operation with collapse risk discovered

In addition to the large fireworks find and the 1,000 hemp plants, the construction of an underground hemp grow operation was also discovered. It is life-threatening to make adjustments to the concrete floor of a building without structural knowledge. The risk of subsidence or collapse is then very high.
