The victim was shot around 19:50 at the corner of Paets van Troostwijkstraat and Oudemansstraat. The man was seriously injured and was rushed to the hospital where he died later that evening.
At the location of the shooting incident, a large cordon was immediately established and officers took positions in the wider area in the search for the suspect. The police helicopter was also deployed. All efforts have so far not led to the arrest of a suspect.
The suspect is known to be a man with dark skin and long dark hair which he wore in a dreadlock cap. He was dressed in a gray jacket or tracksuit with a hood and wore black pants and black shoes underneath.
He got into a black Citroën C1 as a passenger after the shooting incident, which drove away in the direction of De Genestetlaan. Notably, the car was missing its rear license plate.
Under the direction of a public prosecutor, a Major Investigation Team has been set up to investigate the case. The investigation is ongoing, and it appears that the victim was not chosen at random. The detectives would like to get in touch with anyone who witnessed the incident or who has more information about the suspect and the possible escape route. Hagenaar (21) deceased after shooting incident

After a shooting incident on Paets van Troostwijkstraat, a 21-year-old resident of The Hague was killed on Friday, April 18. A Major Investigation Team is investigating the case. So far, no suspect has been arrested. The team is calling on witnesses to come forward.
