The resident of Roosendaal had parked his caravan on the Egeraandijk. He wanted to take the mover out of his caravan and noticed that the door of the caravan was no longer locked. He went inside the caravan and found the two unknown sleeping men. A man who was a witness also spoke to the two men.
Police called
The owner of the caravan immediately called the police, the two men woke up and ran away. They took some food and drinks from the caravan with them. They presumably entered the caravan by breaking a window.
Officers took a statement from the victim and a statement from the witness. Other officers searched for the two men. A description of the two was given. About an hour later, the first suspect was arrested on the Dijkrand in Roosendaal, the other was caught in the Burgemeester Godwaldpark.
AVIM takes over the case
The arrested suspects are still in custody. They are minor boys (15 and 17) without a fixed residence from Algeria. The two will be handed over to the Immigration Police, Identification, and Human Trafficking department.
