The report was received by the police around 3:00 AM. There was a possible shooting in the café on Pancratiusstraat. Immediately after the incident, a person left the café.
An investigation was started on site. It turned out that a shot was indeed fired. No one was injured in the incident.
Arrests
The person who left the café was arrested shortly after the incident on Elfmorgenstraat in Heerlen. He is a 50-year-old man from Heerlen.
Later, a second suspect, a 38-year-old man from Beek en Donk, was arrested. This happened in a vehicle on Rijksweg Zuid near Kelpen-Oler. He was also involved in the incident in Heerlen.
Investigation
The investigation is still ongoing. Several witnesses have been heard, and tactical and forensic research must clarify what exactly happened.
