The police received a report of a traffic accident around 2:30 AM. Emergency services arriving on the scene found an injured man on Postweg. Despite resuscitation efforts, the victim has passed away.
Specialists from the Traffic Accident Analysis team (VOA) have conducted extensive investigations around the accident location. Postweg has been closed between Slufterweg and Muyweg for this purpose and will be reopened on Sunday morning. The driver of the involved car, a 70-year-old man from Texel, has been summoned for questioning as per protocol.
