Large-scale Control in Dordrecht

On the evening of Friday, April 11, extensive traffic controls were held at multiple locations in Dordrecht under the name Dordt op Slot. The aim of this action is to address nuisance in the city, both in traffic, nuisance in the neighborhoods, and tackling defaulters. The action is a collaboration between the Municipality of Dordrecht, the Tax Authorities, and the Rotterdam Police Unit.

Including five arrests and over € 164,000 collected

Approximately 250 vehicles were checked. Additionally, 61 people were searched preventively.
During the control, 173 fines were issued for various offenses, including 34 for holding a phone while driving, 20 speeding violations, about 20 for driving on the sidewalk/through the shopping area, and several fines for not having a drivers license on hand. In total, five arrests were made: 3 for driving under the influence and 2 for disturbing public order.
From the Tax Authorities, a total of €164,209.47 was collected, and six cars were seized and removed.

This year, there will be more of these types of actions in and around Dordrecht.
