On Wednesday, October 8, the police intervention team HIT arrested four suspects during an operation aimed at drug trafficking on suspicion of dealing in narcotics. These include a minor boy, an 18-year-old man, and a 23-year-old man, all from Groningen. A 21-year-old man from Paterswolde was also arrested. They have been heard and released after interrogation.

Additionally, three homes in the city of Groningen were searched. During these searches, a large amount of cash, a significant quantity of soft and hard drugs, illegal fireworks, a knuckleduster, counterfeit money, and a large quantity of (illegal) vapes and cigarettes were found and seized.
