The action was part of the national execution week.
NOH and BETIP
Additionally, an amount of €6,500 was collected for outstanding payments. Several NOH* verdicts and Betips* were served.
Seizure of Vehicles
For an outstanding fine amount of €20,000, six vehicles were taken out of service. If the owners pay the fine within three days, they will get their vehicle back upon payment of storage costs. After three days, the car goes to the Domain in Soesterberg. If the outstanding fine is only paid when the car is already at the domains, additional storage costs will apply.
Payment Arrangement CJIB
For a total of €43,000 in fines, payment arrangements were made. These are all smaller fines that people often cannot pay. They are then assisted by the Execution Team in obtaining a payment arrangement with the CJIB. And of course, monitoring is done to check whether the arrangements have indeed been requested.
Victims
Execution is the final step of a criminal process or measure and is important for a credible Public Prosecution Service, the police, the Royal Military Constabulary, and the CJIB. Above all, executing a sentence is important for the victims of committed crimes. Through this national action, CET aims to contribute to reducing the undermining of the rule of law.
*(Service of Process in Person) This means that the bailiff has personally encountered you and handed over the summons or verdict.
*(NOH) If a verdict is still revocable, it can be revoked. This means that an appeal can be filed. There is a two-week period after the verdict is served, after which it becomes irrevocable. With an irrevocable verdict, you can no longer go to a higher court.
