At around 00:30 on Spinozastraat, a car was on fire. The fire brigade could not safely extinguish the vehicle because they were pelted with fireworks; police officers were also targeted. Ultimately, for the safety of emergency workers, it was decided to let the vehicle burn out. At the same time, it was reported that several windows of a supermarket on Dr. Wiardi Beckmansingel were broken. A fire also started in the store due to fireworks. The Mobile Unit was deployed, after which calm was restored.
