We received information that a young man might be in possession of illegal fireworks and was offering them for sale online. Following this, we launched an investigation in which the suspect from Zeist came into focus. Eventually, we were able to trace and arrest him.

We entered his residence and found 14 pieces of illegal fireworks. All fireworks were seized, removed, and will be destroyed after further investigation.

FC Utrecht
The suspect also appears to be involved in signals indicating possible disturbances around the FC Utrecht match on November 6. Therefore, we remain both visibly and covertly present to closely monitor the situation. Before, during, and after the match, we enforce public order and criminal offenses and act where necessary to ensure safety.

Illegal Fireworks
Illegal fireworks have enormous explosive power. Not only lighting them but also transporting and storing them carries great risks. If something goes wrong, it is life-threatening. Illegal fireworks, such as the Cobra 6, have the same explosive power per piece as a small hand grenade.
