Robbery with a knife in Koudekerke, suspect quickly apprehended

On Sunday evening, August 24, there was a robbery with a knife at a hospitality venue on Kaapduinseweg in Koudekerke. The perpetrator threatened the staff with a knife and stole cash. He then ran away.

The police received a report around 8:30 PM via 112 of a robbery in Koudekerke. Multiple police cars and a police dog immediately began searching for the suspect.

Bystanders help out
Several bystanders saw the suspect fleeing. They reported the location to the police. Some people even ran after the suspect. Thanks to this assistance, the police got sight of the suspect at Zwaanweg. The police arrested a 41-year-old man from Vlissingen. The knife and the money were found. The police seized them. The man is still in custody and is being interrogated.
