Arrest in investigation of deprivation of liberty, assault, and theft in Beverwijk

A 44-year-old man was held for more than six hours in a house on Grote Houtweg in Beverwijk on October 14, 2023. This was done by a group of about seven men. The victim was assaulted, threatened, and robbed. The district investigation team Kennemerland is investigating the case and arrested a 26-year-old man from Amsterdam on Thursday, April 17. In March, a 23-year-old man from Amsterdam was already arrested. More arrests are not ruled out.
The victim was held, assaulted, and robbed by several people during a business meeting in a house on Grote Houtweg in Beverwijk. Almost six thousand euros were withdrawn using his bank card. The investigation program Opsporing Verzocht highlighted this case on Tuesday, April 15. Camera footage was also shown of the man who withdrew money from the victims closed bank card.
