Previously, the police announced that arrests had been made. On September 15, a 17-year-old boy from Emmen was arrested. The next day, two boys aged 16 and 17 from Emmen were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the incident. At that time, more arrests were not ruled out.

New Arrests

In the follow-up investigation, three more arrests were made. On September 19, a 17-year-old boy from Emmen was arrested. On September 24, the police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Emmen, and on October 9, an 18-year-old young man from Emmen was arrested. With this last arrest, the police have now identified all possible involved parties. No further arrests are expected unless new circumstances arise in the investigation.

Prosecution

The suspects have been interrogated after their arrest. They are no longer in custody. The 18-year-old boy who was arrested on October 9 was presented to the court on Friday, October 10, and his pre-trial detention has been suspended under conditions. The six young men remain suspects. The investigation will continue, ultimately leading to the Public Prosecution Service. The Public Prosecution Service is responsible for the prosecution of the suspects.
