Both women were walking in broad daylight on the street (area Schiedam East) when they were suddenly grabbed and hit by a man unknown to them. Both women immediately called the police after the assault. Based on the description they gave, the police were able to arrest the man shortly thereafter near Stadhouderslaan in Schiedam. The man is suspected of assault.
The police are conducting an investigation and would like to get in touch with people who witnessed the assaults. The police also want to speak with people who were assaulted this afternoon in the same area by an unknown man. Please call 0900-8844.
