It is the night of Thursday, June 26 to Friday, June 27, 2025, around 01:30 AM.  Officers in Diemen are patrolling on the Gerardt Burghoutweg and see two boys on a fatbike. When they check the boys, the driver cooperates while the passenger seems a bit nervous. Suddenly, the passenger sprints away with one of the officers chasing him. The passenger falls further down the road, grabbing and throwing away a firearm-like object from his pants. When the officer tries to arrest him, a struggle ensues. To gain control over the suspect, the officer threatens to use the taser. With the help of the other officer, they manage to get him under control and arrest him.

The suspect is then taken to the detention center and presented to the Assistant Public Prosecutor. He will be interrogated by detectives today.
