The police shut down the car meeting in Ittervoort and sent the motorists present away. As a result, the organizers of the meeting sought new locations in the area.
Closing Access Roads
The large group of cars moved from Ittervoort to Venlo. There, attempts were made to restart the meeting at various locations. The police intervened here as well, by closing access roads and instructing attendees to leave. They ultimately complied.
With extra support from police teams in the region, the car meeting was able to be concluded around 00:30 AM on Sunday.
Fines
No arrests were made. However, several motorists were fined for dangerous driving, holding a phone while driving, or for incorrect license plates.
