The fireworks were collected by an employee of a specialized company. Part of the fireworks had to be assessed on site by police officers from the Explosives Reconnaissance Team. It turned out that several very heavy mortar bombs were present. These had to be removed separately. A 20-year-old man from Hoogvliet was arrested today.
Also on Karekiet in Hoogvliet, there was a seizure. Over 26 kg of illegal fireworks were found in the attic of a house. The 22-year-old resident was arrested. The police also traced this fireworks through an anonymous report.

Illegal trade and storage of prohibited fireworks pose life-threatening situations.
