The suspects include a 21-year-old man, a 22-year-old man, and a 35-year-old man from Breda; a 30-year-old man from Colombia; a 38-year-old man from England; a 41-year-old man from Morocco; and a 50-year-old man from Bulgaria. An eighth suspect, a 47-year-old man from Roosendaal, was arrested Monday evening. Additionally, three searches were conducted in Breda and one in Roosendaal.
The National Detection and Intervention Unit initiated an investigation led by the National Public Prosecutors Office based on information obtained from abroad. Subsequently, the search was carried out, including at the warehouse. Alongside the large quantity of cocaine, a firearm was also found. The drugs, firearm, and several vehicles were seized. In this investigation, the National Detection and Intervention Unit closely collaborated with the Zeeland-West Brabant unit. The suspects are all in custody and will be presented to the examining magistrate on November 6.
