The incident took place in a sports hall at Willem-Alexanderplantsoen in Zoetermeer. A suspect threw a piece of fireworks into the hall, which then exploded. At that time, several people were present in the sports hall; about 20 people experienced hearing problems. An extensive search in the area unfortunately did not lead to any arrests.
