At this moment, it is still not entirely clear what the motive was for the stabbing incident. The police are investigating the case. It is possible that it may be related to a traffic dispute that occurred shortly before the stabbing incident. The victim has since provided a statement. The perpetrator fled immediately after the incident, possibly in a dark-colored passenger car.

Officers arrived at the scene shortly after the report, which came in around 7:00 PM at the police dispatch center. A trauma helicopter was also called. It landed in a field on Anthonie van Dijckstraat in Roosendaal. The victim was then rushed to a hospital by ambulance.

On Friday morning, a 32-year-old man from Breda was arrested. He is suspected of serious assault in Gerard Doustraat. The man is detained in a police cell complex and is being questioned by detectives.
