The police received the report around 4:30 PM.
Investigation
After the home invasion, the police launched a technical and tactical investigation. The investigation reveals that the victim had a sales appointment with someone. This person arrived at the house. Once inside, the so-called buyer pulled out a weapon and threatened the victim. He fled with stolen goods. The victim gave chase and saw the suspect get into a car on Langstraat. This car then drove away via Olivijn towards the roundabout.
Possible second suspect
There is a possibility that the suspect was not working alone. He got into a waiting car, but it is unclear if there was a second person in that car.
Witnesses
The police are looking for witnesses. There may be people who saw something unusual or suspicious around 4:30 PM in or around Amber, Langstraat, Broekestraat, or Olivijn.
People may also have seen if there was a second person in the waiting car on Langstraat. And where that car drove off to.
Camera footage
Camera footage can also help in the police investigation. Residents on Amber, Langstraat, Broekestraat, and Olivijn who have a doorbell camera or camera are urgently requested to review the footage. There may be something visible that relates to this home invasion.
