During the inspection, six couriers were found to be younger than 16 years. The youngest courier was only 13 years old and was checked around 8:30 PM. The Labor Inspectorate took immediate action, and those involved were heard. Companies where violations occurred could face fines of thousands of euros. Additionally, several violations regarding the Foreign Nationals Employment Act were noted. Charges will be filed against these companies. One person was detained and handed over to the Immigration Police, Identification, and Human Trafficking Department (AVIM).
The Traffic Enforcement Team also joined the action and checked dozens of food couriers on scooters and fatbikes. In total, 70 reports were made for various traffic violations, such as driving without a license, driving an unauthorized vehicle, running a red light, driving on the sidewalk, and driving without lights. Two couriers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of narcotics.
