Future-proof

The police station at Harmen Visserplein in Emmeloord is now future-proof and energy-neutral thanks to the renovation. Roof, facade, and floor insulation have been installed, and all windows have been renewed and fitted with HR++ glass. Additionally, concrete rot has been addressed, and asbestos has been removed. Due to all the modifications, the building is upgraded from an energy label E to an energy label A, as solar panels will also be installed soon. During the renovation, the Police North-East Polder continued to operate from the station.

Warm Atmosphere

Only the public area was inaccessible for several months, as the interior of the police station was also completely renovated. The public area with the information desk and interview rooms (for example, for filing a report) has been renewed. In color and material usage, a warm, homely atmosphere has been sought where visitors feel welcome. The layout and furnishing of the police station have also been adjusted, making collaboration among police officers more effective.
